Any idea’s who said “work hard and get plenty of sleep” I know it is a quote froma book not a movie, other than that I have no idea. Someone is basically taunting a group of people I know to find the answer, any ideas? Thanks. ---

Just about everybody’s mother, for one thing. But I doubt that’s what your friend is thinking of. It’s a very generic-sounding quote, so it’s probably from some best-selling business book or other. Tell you what, though. I’ll say it, and then you can legitimately claim it was a quote from me: Work hard and get plenty of sleep. Oh, and look both ways when you cross the street. Don’t take candy from strangers. Take turns. (I could go on forever, but I’ll stop here.) ---

My guess is that you’re thinking of the quote from Benjamin Franklin out of _Poor Richard’s Almanac_ that says: “Early to bed and early to wise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.” ---

That quotation sounds like something industrialist Henry Ford would have said. Mr. Ford was an author, he wrote (in collaboration with Samuel Crowther) the books “My Life and Work”, “Today and Tomorrow” and “Moving Forward”.
