# Please help name this song on VH1 commercials!

So, I occasionally (ok, way too frequently) find myself hypnotized in front of the TV with the station set to VH1 Classics. It is what it sounds like: hours and hours of music videos from the 70s and 80s, most of which I had forgotten. But the nosalgia and memories come flooding back with each video, and I find it impossible to turn away.
Anyway, they play some really “hip” commercials on that channel - and I’m assuming they play them on the regular VH1 channel as well.
One of these commercials uses a song by Paul Oakenfold called “Starry-Eyed Surprise”. I found that one and bought it, no problem.
The other one - and here’s the mystery - uses a song with lyrics similar to the old Buffalo Springfield song:
“Hey, you. What’s that sound? Everybody look what’s goin’ down. Ahh, yeah. Ain’t that fresh? [somethin’, somethin’, somethin’.]”
The words are delivered rapidly, and the beat is a really great techno-ish bass-oriented groove.
I’m aware of a song that has the exact words - called, aptly enough, “(Hey You) What’s That Sound” by a group called Les Rhythmes Digitales. But this sounds like a remix of that song, or something.
Can anyone help?

Afrika Bambaataa samples it on 1996’s Lost Generation…but I don’t watch VH1 to confirm if that’s the one

I think I’ve seen a commercial that splices the “Hey you, what’s that sound” onto “Emerge” by Fischerspooner… but then I could just be combining two VH1 commercials with my poor memory. Is there a female voice in the background singing “You don’t need to/Emerge from nothing/You don’t need to tear away”?

YES! There absolutely is.
Also, there’s a voice saying “…Sounds good…looks good…feels good too.”
So I wonder if this is some special combination of songs they just threw together. Makes it more difficult, certainly.
