As a bassist, I fully support the above rant. It never ceases to amaze me that the version our quartet plays lasts only 57 measures. If you had asked me, I would have estimated that I repeated that 8 note/2 measure phrase AT LEAST twice as many times. Truly an example of the fluidity of the time/space continuum! 😃
