The problem is that all I can remember is vague enough that searching imdb either gives me too few results (none of which is right) or so many that I’m not having any luck finding the title. the quote is (paraphrased) “You’ll follow [my? your?] orders on this one, \!” I’m reasonably confident it’s said to a good guy, and I have a hunch that his name is Jack. It’s either a military setting or a police thing, and I can’t remember much more than that. It’s said by a male character, to a male character. _shrugs_ If you could just toss some titles out, I feel like I’ll know it when I see it. Any help is very much appreciated, as this is bugging the heck out of me (I keep hearing it in my head over and over, cause I can’t let it go). ---

Exchanges like the one you quote are near ubiquitous in military movies and TV shows. Try and find one without it. Yeah that was the problem I was running into trying to search on my own. Just figured I’d take a shot here that what I could remember might ring a bell for someone. I really can’t add much more than that, but I can say that it wasn’t any of the variations you gave, it’s either what I put in the OP, or something _very_ similar. I mean, I can add that it’s live action, I guess that helps a tiny bit. It’s also probably something from the '80’s or (more likely) the 90’s, cause I can hear it in my head so clearly that it’s got to be something I’ve seen a bunch of times, and in the mid-late 90’s I used to stay up late and put various movies my family had on videocassettes in even when I wasn’t really watching just to have noise in the background. I watched less and less TV after '01 or '02, and pretty much haven’t watched any since '06. Ditto for seeing new movies; I pretty much only get to go see one when I drag one of my siblings to them (incidentally, **Iron Man** was awesome). :rolleyes: Eh, if it’s not clicking for anybody I understand. I’ve tried just looking over the movies we own but that didn’t really help, plus a lot of the videocassettes are stored away (either up in the attic or in the garage, I forget where).
