There’s a new radio station in the Toronto area that pretty much plays nothing except non-stop music. No DJ’s, no news/traffic/weather, just tunes and (of course) commercials. While I enjoy the constant tunage, I am sometimes frustrated by the fact that no one announces titles and artists for the tracks we just heard. As in this case…

I heard a song the other day that I’m sure I’d heard before, but I haven’t been able to track down either title or artist. And, of course, my memory of the lyrics is minimal.

At least one verse ends with:

**…and see your smiling face**

And the chorus contains several repititions of:

**Be a Soldier**

I’ve googled extensively, to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Thwartme

Does a guy or girl sing it?

Sorry for the delay in my response **arachnidlove** , but I was having system problems.

The song is sung by a guy. He sounds as though he may be British, and reminds me a bit of the singer for the Clash. I’ve browsed through the Clash’s discography, just in case it’s a tune by them I didn’t know, but no luck.

Thanks for your help.
Bill
