Five minutes is not enough time to edit my post. Sometimes I remember something that I wanted to add ten minutes later, and then I lose out. And the process of reporting your post to a moderator isn’t convenient at all. Some moderators don’t even correct the post for you, even if it’s a silly spelling mistake. Why can’t we at least increase it to ten or fifteen minutes? Some boards even have 90 minute edit times, and they don’t seem to have an issue. I will install a poll with this. ---

Apparently. And also, **AU** , don’t worry about it too much. Double posts aren’t frowned t_that_ hard upon. If you have something else to say ten minutes later, just make a new post. As far as silly spelling mistakes go, if you don’t catch in while your typing, or the first time you read through it, also don’t worry about it. Someone [del]may[/del] will get on your case about it, but that’s just a part of posting here, and should just be shrugged off. ---

Use preview if you’re that concerned. I’d much rather suffer from a typo then have a debate derailed as people change their posts 10-15 minutes into a fast moving discussion or to back-peddle off something they were being called out for. Plus, some of our bost board stories came from hysterical typos… ---

Cochrane is correct. Polls are allowed in ATMB but only for testing purposes. We don’t run this joint by opinion polls nor popularity. If you need more time to properly formulate your posting, don’t hit the send button until you are sure. And if you think of something else afterwards, make another posting in the same thread. ---
