I used to keep a written Journal. Retrieving information required reading pages.

Any recommendations for a Android or Windows App?

Tags are an important feature.

Search Tags for Doctors Appointments, going out to a movie, sit down restaurant meals etc. A Great Day and Mood Score tag would be helpful.

I won’t typically write very much. Maybe note days I’m not feeling well, or feeling stressed. Vent frustration. Keep notes on my progress working on hobby projects.

Update, I installed Daylio for Android.

It seems to support Tags. They call them Activities. I can add new Activities. Not sure how well they can be searched.

Exports to pdf or CSV (comma delimited text) to import into Excel. I can easily manipulate and search in Excel.

I can’t review since I just started using the App.

I use OneNote for that sort of thing. Free if you have a Microsoft Office account. It works well and has lots of bells and whistles.

Was also going to suggest OneNote. It works well for that sort of thing and is cross-platform.

I use Android ‘Notes’ Currently have 14 different folders for my notes.
Work - 6 folders
Home - 4 folders
Freeform art
Dreams
Journal
Finance

It’s been a life saver to help organize my stuff. Lot’s of notebooks before this.

I’ll look into Onenote and Android Notes.

DayLio is ok, but there’s no customization. Except for adding Actions (tags).

Day One is quite good.
Originated in the Mac world, but now that it is popular there is a good Android app and very good web based entry.

I’ve been using Evernote for years for work and family. One thing I’ve been using it for is journaling but it’s definitely overkill for that. I think I’ll check out DayOne. Thanks!
