Somehow I thought smilies were older than that! And the internet for that matter… therefore that must have been sarcasm without a smilie! The op neglected his own advice! I modestly propose that we eat all the smilies although how do you tell when they are ripe? Are they 😛 like this before they ripen? So a :mad: would be yummy like an apple? And 😉 would be bananalicious? 😕 would be a yummy grape, and :eek: would be a bluberry bonanza? ---

Wow, **sturmhauke** , your post is so pretty! 🙂 I must say that I have to agree with **Q.E.D.**. You do have a little too much time on your hands. Would you be interested in doing some of my work for me? [giggle] I’ve got plenty of things for you to choose from. As far as the OP goes, I just _love_ using smilies. 😃 They’re so much fun, and I like to have fun. But, I don’t think everyone has to use smilies if they don’t want to. I don’t think it makes a person better or worse if s/he uses or doesn’t use smilies. It’s just a personal choice for how to go about expressin’ oneself. I don’t understand what folks what don’t use smilies are getting so upset for. They’re harmless. Really. Smilies won’t hurt anyone. And they can brighten up some folks’ lives. If folks don’t want to play with them, then let the smilies alone. It’s really that simple. ---

I’d use smilies in my posts, but then people would think I was laughing _with_ them and not _at_ them. You know what? I don’t use smilies in life either. What’s the fun of kidding someone if they know you’re kidding? Damned if I know. SCREW your “authority” man! I don’t need your hate crimes. ---
