That would be my Michigan and my governor. Sigh. We’ve always had crazy militia types here for as long as I remember. I’m just surprised the Michigan Senate Leader, a Republican, condemned the plot. It’s pretty sad I’m impressed by something as basic as Republicans condemning terrorism. Yet here we are. ---

Someone please explain how this mentality is acceptable at this point in history. They were going to “Try her for treason?” On what grounds, and under what authority? These wet-headed morons have been conditioned by social media and their leaders in politics that whatever they want to be the truth, they can simply will into existance. ---

Masks are a nuisance at worst. Business closures could lead to economic ruin for some. At least I understand the latter. But … generally … I remember when (potentially lethal) peanut allergy sufferers (and the parents of kids with peanut allergies) asked the airlines to stop serving peanuts on flights – maybe serve pretzels instead. A HUGELY vocal but very small minority of people lost their ever-lovin’ minds. Their reaction was tantamount to, “If I can’t eat peanuts on an airplane, then the terrorists have won.” Amazing. Ever notice … it’s always the same sort of person who’s apoplectic over this kind of ‘infringement on liberty ?’ You know that “kidnap” and “try for treason” meant execution. More or less over peanuts. ---

He does keep getting on the biggest stages in the country and telling us that Democrat Governors, the Press, Hollywood, illegals, and so on and so on are all the Enemies of the People ™. It isn’t surprising that people lash out at what they believe is the enemy. That’s why responsible leaders don’t throw terms like that around. ---

Hey, Biden-Harris campaign - you need to pick this up and run it to counter the whole “Democrat-run cities are violent, riot and looter havens” BS. Trump and the thick-membrane misinformation bubble these people exist within are stoking rage, and the pandemic has a lot of disenfranchised people with a lot of time on their hands, so it’s not surprising a group of morons started thinking it would be OK to start planning a stunt like this. They probably thought Dear Leader would condone such an act and provide them a pardon. The scary thing is that there are probably a great many people so misinformed and enraged at this point it will be very difficult to deprogram them - that this type of thinking is not acceptable. ---
