Eve - thanks for the clarification, though my indignation was directed more at kunilou (’…desperate hope…’ BAH!). (And to a lesser extent at the OP, since the ‘is this a hoax’ stuff feels somewhat hopeful to me.) ---

That reminds me of another strip I found on the Net once. For the life of me, I can’t remember what or whose it was. I do remember that the main characters are a male herbivore (rabbit) and a female carnivore (wolf?) who fell in love and that the creator is better known for another strip. Any ideas what this strip is? ---
