Are you able to receive PM’s from posters on your ignore list? (sorry if I have alot of “ignore list” questions lately, I only recently noticed the tag, and began utilizing it) ---

While I don’t know the answer to this, let’s find out. I just added you to my ignore list. Try sending me a PM and I’ll let you know if I receive it or not. (Don’t worry, I’ll remove you from the ignore list after this test.) ---

I tested this on another v-Bulletin forum and I doubt this version is any different. PMs from people on your ignore list will not show up in your message box. You won’t get a notification and you won’t know they sent you a message at all. The person who sent the PM won’t realize that you didn’t receive the PM, from their end it will appear that the PM was sent, but the PM just floats off into the internet ether. If you have your PMs disabled instead, no user will be able to send you a PM, the Send a PM option won’t show up in the drop down menu for your name (in a post) or at the top of your profile page. ---

We [tested this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=533035) previously. The short answer is that you don’t get PMs from anyone on your ignore list. Regards, Shodan ---

If someone on your ignore list sends you a PM and you later remove them from ingore, will the message show up at that point or is it gone forever? ---
