Real conservative talk show host Jesse Kelly awarded actual congesswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) the Hottest Woman in Congress award. The award came with a real certificate with Boebert’s name spelled incorrectly and a Red Lobster gift card for $27.43. The actual Lauren Boebert appeared on Kelly’s real show to discuss how pleased she was to receive this actual award. I can’t stress enough that this is a real thing that actually happened. Having glanced through those rules, the pressing issue is that there does not seem to be any general exception for awards other than public service awards. If Boebert wins a MacArthur “genius grant” next year, will she have to turn it down? ---

Wait - is this the same Jesse Kelly that ran unsuccessfully against Gabby Giffords? If so he’s a huge a-hole. He wanted to do away with minimum wage and, I think, Social Security. Among others. ---
