After a while he bites your finger and won’t let go. There is a very satisfying chomp sound, as well.

This just happened to me. Quite surprising…
I had the penguin shoot the hand with a shotgun: just try poking the penguin after that happens! 
(Yes, I’m at work, and bored.)
