Your Friend Safari is Bug-type, with Volbeat and Paras available. I believe when you clear the E4 and beat the Champion, your FS will gain another species. Youā€™ll be able to explore the Friend Safaris for each friend you have registered (who also has you registered) once you have beaten the game and traveled to Kiloude City. Wonder Trades and direct-between friends trades are obviously available now, but I wouldnā€™t hold out huge hope for getting amazing Pokemon via Wonder Trade. ---

Iā€™ve been emulating older Pokemon games on my phone as a way to kill time on the subway commute. Iā€™d forgotten how good/addicting they are, despite the childish premise. Better yet, I can play them with save states and fast forward, which helps make their previous flaws much more bearable. Perhaps I should pick up a 3DS if X and Y are this goodā€¦ ---

This place turns out to be a gold mine ā€“ almost literally. Armed with an Amulet Coin, you can generate a couple hundred thousand Pokedollars here in a few hours. And this, in turn, lets me buy Carbos, Protein, and other vitamins that allow me to cut SuperTraining times in half. (Carbos raises Speed by 10, but only up to 100. If you want a Speed stat of 252, you have to Super Train (or do the old-fashioned ā€œFind an area with Starlys and slay them,ā€ according to Bricker Jr). ---
