You’d have to assume that the mother wsa the polar bear, since it was found in primarily polar bear country. I didn’t even know there were grizzly above the treeline. ---

So is it a Polzzley or a Grizzlar? And I guess we’ll never know if this hybrid is sterile or not. ☹ ---

I wonder what sort of round the hunter used to bring it down? It looks like an awfully large bear in the photo (and the amount of blood on the snow suggests a large calibre rifle). Interesting development, though… ---

That put me off too. Looks like it has the shape of a grizzly, especially the head, but the white coat of a polar bear. ---

People hunt. In this case, some rich tourist with perhaps more money than brains dropped $26,000 to go shoot a polar bear in the Canadian Arctic. I confess I don’t get it either, but it’s a way of life for many of the northern residents. ---

[/QUOTE] It said it had brown patches of fur but all I could see was what looked like brown goggles around the eyes. I think I prefer to call it GrizzLar. I am GrizzLar, the Mighty! Rahhhhrrrr!
