There’s an injection that can cause a person to have an erection? (Not that I would have any need for such a thing, of course, heh-heh, I just, um, want to make sure I have all the facts behind this story . . .) ---

The girl was fifteen, so the relationship wasn’t really inappropriate, in my mind. And I can’t imagine the embarrassment over having to discuss his erection with lawyers and police officers. ---

When Paul “Pee Wee Herman” Reubens got into trouble in a porn theater, someone pointed out that Wilt Chamberlain had published an autobiography in which he admitted sleeping with 20,000 women. Wilt Chamberlain got praised for what he’d done, while Pee Wee Herman got arrested, while he was practicing safe sex. Similarly, this boy exchanged photos with his girlfriend, which isn’t going to transmit any diseases or result in an unwanted pregnancy, and he’s being charged with a crime. Where is the justice in that? ---

Where is the justice in that? I also find it disconcerting that the girl wasn’t charged as well. It reeks of sexism. Also want to note that I feel the punishments do not fit the crime. While I agree that it’s fairly harmless, it’s not always harmless. Sometimes these pics tend to get out and can cause some serious problems. I think community service would have been a better punishment. Regardless, if they’re going to hand out punishments, they should be consistent about it. ---
