There was no suggestion that you were interested in my panties, and I figured you’d not fall for what was meant to be a ironic reference to the little brain. No one said anything \*needs \*a literal interpretation (either). We understand they are expressions, no? You may want to review what you said and circle back to explain the initial diversion, as though I’d somehow undercut the point by anticipating a remark about panties in a twist. I inquired whether males can be more creative with derision or denigration than tying it to femininity or body parts (whether tits or taint). I’ll conclude that the answer is “no”. ---

Oh, I have no disagreement with that at all. I agree that many of the most common pejoratives used toward men involve some connection to femininity, effeminacy, and/or wimminfolk in general. I also agree that it’s really stupid and should change. I admit to a blind spot regarding “motherfucker,” but otherwise I avoid such expressions pretty strictly. I just find it amusing. Someone could say to you “Don’t get your knickers twisted” and you’d respond “I don’t wear any,” as though that ends the conversation? You must realize that such a response only serves to draw attention to your ladyparts, yes? But it’s all good. My taint remains untwisted, and as a regular kiltwearer who has scant use for shorts myself, I wish you all the best of your unrestrained genitals. ---

So if there really is special penis-comparing software out there (which I very much doubt), someone had to have written this. I can only imagine how you’d describe it on your resume: “Last project: Wrote custom application to compare images of penises to identify sexting teenagers.” ---

I worked for a small “family-friendly” web search site once. They didn’t offer results for pornographic searches but eventually decided that they could make money by redirecting such searches to another company. So they had a really long list of porno search terms (e.g., “big busty women”, although I’m guessing on that. They wouldn’t show me the actual list of terms). And they hired a temp to enter the list into the software. I was laughing as I imagined the phone call to the temp agency. “Hi. We need a person for a data entry job. No one who gets offended easily. Probably no one who is religious. Definitely someone with a strong stomach.” ---

The Washington Post story indicates that the girl first sent photos to the boy, and the video was sent in response. The boy’s defense attorney Jessica Foster “said the case began when the teen’s 15-year-old girlfriend sent photos of herself to the 17-year-old, who in turn sent her the video in question. The girl has not been charged, and her mother filed a complaint about the boy’s video, Foster said.” But the press release from the police says, “On January 23, 2014 Manassas City Police was contacted by a parent of a 15 YOA female juvenile who was sent pornographic videos by a 17 YOA male suspect after repeatedly being told to stop.” My guess is that the girl denied any involvement when her mother found out. If the boy still has her pictures on his phone, it might help his defense. ---
