Just from looking at his picture, it’s pretty clear why Sensenbrenner would feel threatened by a campaign against obesity. Last week, I went to see [this exhibit](http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/whats-cooking/) at the National Archives, which is all about the role that the government has played in changing the eating habits of Americans throughout our history. Michelle Obama’s cause is certainly nothing new, although in recent years the emphasis has been less on malnutrition and more on obesity. ---

Kinda used to be about kids who didn’t have food. (Lived in an area where “poor” kids were allotted two saltine and peanut butter “sandwiches” for their government allotted breakfast + a milk, maybe.) And if they had a lick of sense they’d focus on that. Easier to flat out insult someone though, so why bother? ---
