Cagles political cartoon index includes cartoons poking fun at the top stories of the day. I would suggest that cartoons are a medium that gives an opinion or story in its short form. I am trying to avoid saying the cartoonists seem to have a very good handle on the stories and hypocrisies of their times., but I believe they do. The stories are distilled to fit the cartoon form and are snapshots of political truth. If you are not familiar with these, I hope you enjoy them.

The profession may indeed have a handle on the times, but if the cartoonists’ convention I tuned into on C SPAN is anything to go by, they tend overwhelmingly to have '80s hair.
