[Idea from this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=414748&page=1&pp=50) Let’s do political haikus I’ll start, if that’s okay Thought about Great Debates and this can get contentious, but I placed it here * * * Dick Cheney, George Bush The puppeteer, the puppet Frightened audience Global warming facts Denied by power brokers Our future suffers The faith-filled rejoice Church and state separation No longer the case Hate for Brown people fuels immigration debate They should be ashamed Protocol changes in Department of Justice Civil rights denied Commit war on Iraq Make up justification Evil epitomized We support the troops Your dead sons don’t concern us Hypocrisy? Nooo. Sensitive McCain Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran Cheney’s mood music Chicken hawk alert All talk, never having served Today’s war mongers Locked-up without charge Guantanimo detainees Due process withheld Serious question: Bush or Ahmadinejad Who’s the bigger threat? Iraqi’s displaced Almost one million have died Save them from Bush’s war Rife devastation Bush says “Freedom’s on the march” Tell that to the dead In Bush’s purview Loyalty trumps competence Rewards the inept Bush taps our phone calls Can we impeach this fool yet? Pelosi, come on! Cheney waves a gnarled hand: “You see no duplicity” Ooooh, pretty flowers! Bush commits high crimes The Hague has open dockets May he rot in jail Conservative’s rant Oh, how we can’t stand the Gays Now where’s my man meat? Give Gays equal rights? They’ll make us get Gay married! And use our pea brains! Black republicans: Does your forebear’s sacrifice mean nothing to you? ---
