Take the devastation in new jersey. Obama flies in and him and Christie hop on a helicopter,that the taxpayers pay for,and check out the damage.When they land they say " the victim are in our prayers ". Does anyone believe that either of these clowns would “pray” for anyone but Themselves. ---

If they stay out, they’re bashed for not providing leadership on site. All the major news agencies would be sending out national broadcasts with “Where is \ during this unprecedented crisis?” Are you really so naive that you don’t understand that? Weak sauce. ---

And while the travel itself doesn’t accomplish much, yes, I would prefer they come see it instead of sitting in offices. Engaging with people on some kind of personal level and appearing to give a shit about horrible suffering is part of the job. ---

What they are doing has little practical benefit, but it has huge intangible benefits. By going out there, Obama and Christie are giving the storm victims hope. Hope which they desperately need, along with clean water, food, and shelter. ---

You should have made this a yes or no poll. I’m guessing that the results would not be what you expected. Sure, politicians are scum. But actually flying into a disaster zone and having a look around is a surefire way for _anybody_ to get some empathy for the victims. I don’t see how one _wouldn’t_ say a prayer just flying over that mess. Major pit fail here. ---

This bugs me, but I hear it a lot. “The parties are the same! Both candidates are equally corrupt and scummy!” I can’t imagine thinking they’re all the same.
