Dag. Here I was thinking that ‘stuid’ was a Middle-English variant on ‘stewed’, that being a earlier posted comment on the status of the OP. Thank you all for the etymological enlightenment. Wheat crackers and Fresca will be served in the great room during intermission. ---

Ok, I’m back, sober. Yes I drank a liiiiiitle too much last night. Yes I missed the damned “p” key. I realized that .0005 seconds after I hit the “Submit Rely” button. Hah, hah, hah! That was a joke. :rolleyes: I use a Macintosh. Note to mostly everybody: I don’t wanna hear about it! I love my Mac. These stupid new-fangled cutsie translucent keyboards have the most congenitally wussy-assed keys big business can possibly skimp on. You know how hard it is when you have to basically ride a pogo stick across your keyboard to get text? Try that drunk! Here on SDMB it’s easier to not read polls and “Ask The…” threads that look like they’re going to be lame. But I have this silly annoying habit of reading whatever’s in front of me. Everytime I read newspapers, magazines, watch TV - I’m always getting stupid ass moronic polls & surveys shoved in front of me. It pisses me off. I don’t care what you think. Even if I did want my opinion known, I hate being forced to choose among the moronic choices you give me without being able to qualify my answers. And sometimes in life you _have_ to take multiple guess tests. Then you’re stuck being forced to choose which answer is most likely to be the least stupid.
