I can’t believe (a) I remember this and (b) I can come close to spelling something correctly that I learned by rote 40 years ago. ---

Yep, 3 years of Latin in HS (also 1 year of Russian and 2 years of Spanish), graduated in '67 in Denver. ---

1. No 2. 2002 (back when Ontario had 5 years of high school) 3. Around Toronto, Canada I think I would’ve enjoyed Latin. ---

I believe I took two years I graduated in 1966. I attended Montrose High School in Montrose, Colo. At the time it had about 400 students. My teacher, a dedicated little old soul was firmly convinced she could see the language bouncing off my skull. To this day I believe I only passed the subject because of her pity. However, to the surprise of virtually everyone in the school (and a number of people on the police force), I blew the top off the SAT (and that was before it was dumbed down), and I credit a great deal of that on a number of different levels to my taking Latin. I was required to take a year of Latin in middle school (I went to a magnet school). It was pretty much worthless. This was about 6 years ago. ---

Five years in Finland, three years in Canada. I graduated in 1969 Kuopio, Finland and Thunder Bay, Canada. I found Latin helpful in learning English. When I came to Canada in 1966, I spoke no English whatsoever. I had to pick it up while attending grade 11. Fun! 😃 ---
