I’m not sure how to answer this poll! I think that most same-sex kissing on screen is ‘blah’, but is occasionally erotic when done especially well. Are ‘blah’ and ‘erotic’ mutually exclusive by the standards of this poll? ---

Well, I voted wrong then. Gay kissing isn’t morally offensive to me but it makes me cringe a bit. I went with blah because “offensive” has a connotation that it should not be allowed or should be shunned, which I disagree with. ---

Straight female here…female/female kissing doesn’t do anything for me, though I would describe it as more of a “meh” than a “blah”. I’m very fond of male/male kissing. ---

I’m a male. Girl on Girl kissing is hot! Guy on Guy kissing was disgusting at first but, now that I’ve seen it more than once, it’s just meh. ---

I haven’t answered but I find any-kind-of-kissing offensive, erotic, rolleye-worthy or blah depending on the couple, not the gender. Straight female. I got over the whole “kissing is YEEECH!” stage at about the same time I figured out that there’s no “choice” about sexual tastes and that it ain’t none of my fuckin’ business who other people kiss (unless it’s me or my SO); add that some people can make a staged kiss look like the hottest thing since bonfires, some can make a real kiss look like the best reason to join a nunnery (and I don’t mean the kind featured in porn), and that in my teen years we’d check out other people’s kisses intensively (if you made out within sight of other people, you’d get clocked and rated)… ---

As you specified on screen, my answers were as follows. I find male-male blah. Ergo, I find it offensive, because I don’t want to see blah on screen. (Exceptions are when it’s comedy. Then it isn’t blah, but it isn’t erotic either. It’s funny.) I find female/female erotic. Because of this, I find it to be offensive, as I don’t watch TV or movies to be titillated. And because it’s usually a publicity stunt. ---

Straight-ish female here. I usually find girl-girl kissing meh unless I’m fond of the couple. Even then, though, it’s not so much erotic as “Aww, that’s nice.” I find boy-boy kissing erotic. ---

I think _offensive_ might be the wrong word; _distasteful_ might be better. I’m certainly not going to be _offended_ if I’m watching a movie, and two guys smooch, but it certainly runs against my personal tastes, and if I’m at home, I’ll definitely fast-forward through that scene. ---
