My mother would die if she knew this were how I were introducing myself to a group of people. Boyfriend doesn’t mind it. I, however, just don’t enjoy it as much. We tried it in the shower once but he is like a foot taller and 100lbs. larger than me and the mechanics aren’t very functional… ---

Here’s a twist: I’m female and so is my SO. Neither of us are squicked by it. Granted, it’s always at it’s best when Aunt Flo has left the building but we certainly aren’t going to let a little blood stand in the way of a good time. Considering that we aren’t on the same “schedule” because no, living toghether does not really sync women up, we would only have two weeks of the month in which we could have sex. Kill me now if that’s the case. Oh and forget the towel, spontaneity is where it’s at. That’s why Og created Spray n Wash. ---

Female, 45. On the first day of my period, I _loathe_ every living being that has a penis, and will readily tell my hubby, “if that thing gets _close_ to me, you’re gonna lose it!” By the second day, though, that feeling is gone. Hubby’s a little squicked by it, but he’s only home on weekends. So, he knows he’d better check his squicked-ness at the door, or he’ll have to wait until _next_ week to get it. For that, he’ll get over it. As for the mess, I have a set of “bleeding sheets”. They’re old, T-shirt knit sheets that go on my bed as soon as my period starts. They’re already stained all to hell and back, even though they get the bejeebers bleached out of them regularly. So we don’t worry too much about the mess. Male. 40s. Not bothered in the least. My first lover was insistent that we make love whilst she was at that time. She was insanely horney and sensitive, and came like a nuclear weapon during her period. My wife, however, is not interested in trying it. Just _before_, yeah, she’s _ready_, but not during. ---

Personally it depends on the girl and the flow. As long as it doesn’t penetrate a towel, I’m fine with it. On the other hand, it depends on how long it’s been since I’ve had sex. If I’m not with a girl and I meet one and the chance to do it appears but she’s got her period, I’m much more likely. It’s just a question of mess to me. I’m not physically repulsed by it, since it’s my penis, and not my tongue, but if cleanup is going to be more than, “Throw the towel in the washer” then I’m not too keen. If it’s low-flow then I’m totally up for it, but that’s not always the case. ---

Male, 50. I like it fine, and find it a turn-on. Even oral. Of course, I always have room for pizza, too… My few partners have varied from somewhat reluctant then to somewhat extra enthusiastic then. One told me in her experience about half of men dislike it and half prefer it. I guess we’ll start hearing predominantly from that second half now.
