1. When I was 6, TV 6 in Milwaukee turned on their “Tower of Light” (a huge broadcast TV antennae covered with lightbulbs). It had a big **6** on it all in lights. They turned it on right around my birthday. 1. My favorite letter is the letter R, the 18th letter of the Alphabet, and I was born on the 18th. Also, half of 18 is 9. Which I also like. And I like the number 3, but mainly because it goes up to 9 and 18. There are more reasons but when I go into them I sound kinda weird. Let’s just say I really like 18, 9, and 3. And 9 = I so that I like too. It’s my own little self of numbers. But I also like 7 and 13. They’re cool too. 7 is because it’s a cool prime number. And obviously 42, 23, and 69 are cool for what they tend to mean. Though I also like 69 because if you look at it sideways, it’s the symbol for Cancer, which goes back to my love of the number 7. And also 69 can be made up of 3 and 9. And I like the idea of 6 being an upside down 9. But really it all comes down to my favorite number being 18. PS: Also forgot to add- I found it very cool that my favorite Football Player’s Number was 18- Peyton Manning of the Ind. Colts. 😃 ---

23, because it is the kind of prime number that minds its own business. I used to love the number 5 and hate the number 4, but had to get over it because I am the 4th born. I still prefer 5, though. ---

3, cuz’ its a magic number. 😉 I like 13 because, for some odd reason, it feels complete to me. I like odd numbers more than even, and 11 and 15 feel like too little and too much respectively. Unfortunately, it has all the unlucky hangups associated with it, so people give you a weird look when you mention it. (Not that having a favorite number is normal to most people.) ---

My father liked 2, because in boarding school they had to have a number stitched onto their items to tell them apart and he happened to get 2. It was “his” number. I like 13 because I was born on March 13 and people make a huge fuss about it 😛 Oh, and my time of birth is recorded as 13 minutes before the 13th hour, apparently the obstetrician was tired of me by then (yes Mr obstetrician, I wuv you too and if you’re still alive I hope you have real nasty haemorroids). ---

My longtime favorite number has been a number that until recently I thought could be expressed only in words - ninety-twelve. Then I realized just last week that in seven thousand and three years people will be referring to the current year as 9012 (that is, if the current calendar is still in use). ---

I like 9, because the multiples of 9 get to a point and then reverse. (9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54. . .) I like 619 because it was my employee # at my first job. I like 666 because it was my self-selected employee # at the last place I worked and everyone was intimidated by my choice. I like 8 because August is the eighth month and really interesting things have happened to me in Augusts. I like 27 because I have a recurring dream where there are 27 pieces of cake, or 27 boulders, or 27 pillows. ---

Before I got married, it was 7 – I had seven letters in my first name, seven in my middle name, seven in my last name. Then I married a man with eight letters in his last name. Now I like 4. ---

I thought everyone would have said 8 already. How can you not love 8? I remember when I learned how to make the number 8 in kindergarten, I filled up whole sheets with it, because I loved how it looped through itself. I still like making the number 8! ---

I think I had favorites at some point, but I don’t really anymore. Although, whenever I name some arbitrary large number, it’s always based on 8: "I can think of about 80 reasons why… ", “I’ve told you 8 times…”, “That must cost 18 bajillion dollars!” Unfortunately, whenever I think of 8 - as in, “Think of the number 8”, not in context as above - I associate it with a horrible pale, flat shade of orange - like a [circus peanut](http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_mt5VwR4sat4/SnxEaUylI9I/AAAAAAAACNM/yJ_fV8GWPaM/s720/circus+peanuts.JPG). Bleah. I’m not a synesthete, as far as I know, though. There are only one or two other numbers I associate colors with, and it’s not every time I see or hear the number, but only when I think of them specifically.
