I don’t buy this. How has he demeaned them, beyond pretty standard political criticism? And how does this compare to “YOU LIE!” and the like from Republican office-holders?

President Obama has lied. There is nothing unseemly about pointing this out as a Congressman or Senator.

Or, they can just repeal it to demonstrate how useless his Presidency was. That alone should be instructive to Democrats next time they get ideas about ramming through major legislation when they know they have a tiny window.

By my count, there’s two bad GOP Presidents: GWB and Nixon. There are three bad Democratic Presidents: Obama, Carter, LBJ.

No, it’s that the GOP voters can focus better than the Democratic voters.

It seems pretty accurate to me. I don’t remember Carter well, but in terms of leadership ability Obama is simply bad. When dealing with world leaders, he comes across as wishy-washy & inconsequential, and consequently the US seems to have pretty much zero clout these days. (The fact that our current Secretary of State is a used animatronic figure from Disney World probably enters into this, but Obama himself isn’t doing us any favors, either. And he nominated Kerry.) Look at how recent major events have played out:

(1) Syria uses chemical weapons. Obama gives a stern “Bad boy! Don’t do that!” Syria shrugs us off, and in the end it’s Russia who convinces the Syrian government to declare its chemical weapons and ship them out for destruction.

(2) Russia invades the Crimea, and stirs up trouble in eastern Ukraine. Obama gives a stern “Bad boy! Don’t do that!” Russia says “Fuck you!” annexes Crimea, and is still stirring up trouble in eastern Ukraine, albeit with a bit more sublety than before.

(3) Iraq is falling apart. The Iraqi government askes the US for help against the rebels. Obama yawns and says “Well, I dunno, maybe we can find some advisors or something. I’ll see if anyone’s not busy today.” As a result, Iraq turns to Iran (of all people) for help, and it just said it’ll get help from Russia if the US won’t help them.

Aside from international matters, there’s also the fact that Obama simply cannot work with Congress. Yes, there are a lot of Republicans trying to stop him, but Obama himself doesn’t seem to be able to compromise or negotiate. He’s a “my way or the highway” type of leader. And as a result, he tends to get the highway.

eh… polls like this are so vague as to be meaningless. What is greatness? its not a single thing to everyone so asking that type of question is pointless. Might as well asked who was the most handsome president since WWII?

But I have often thought that if Obama were to cure cancer today the headline on the Drudge or Fox News would be “Obama puts American Doctors out of work, is he comming for you next??”

I’ll give Obama credit, he may govern like ass, but there’s rarely been a better campaigner. He’s been popular exactly two times: before and just after getting elected in 2008-2009, and before and after just getting elected in 2012-2013. The vast majority of his Presidency has seen him underwater in approval.

Romney hasn’t been subject to political attack for the past 20+ months like Obama has nor has he made a fool of himself for the same amount of time. I hope the poll makes him run again. Sometimes, when I’m feeling blue, I do a YouTube search for Romney supporters reactions on Election Night. Watch a few of those people crying as they realize that Mittens lost, and I feel chipper in no time. I’d love to see Romney v Clinton, what a blast election night would be.

I enjoy these kinds of polls.

It deludes current Republicans into thinking their wins are guaranteed and they are safe to expound on the virtues of having rape babies or landmine the border or some shit like that. Then they lose and the cycle repeats.

And imagine how good Obama really is that even through all these attacks and the poll results, he’s still able to get things done like push for an elimination of DOMA, protect women in the workplace from discrimination, or pass health care reform. Think about what he can do without the limiters placed on him by a traitorous opposition!
