Mustaches are okay by me. Beards are not, for a couple of reasons - one of which is that I am **insanely** ticklish, and the other I won’t get into. I like the looks of goatees - can’t handle the feel of any chin hair, though. ---

I do not like facial hair at all. I think it looks intimidating, maybe because it hides some of the face. Or maybe not. Either way, to me facial hair creates a strongly negative image, beards much more so than moustaches, and I’m not exactly hot on long sideburns either. No offense, of course. ---

Definitely anti. So anti, in fact, I can’t even answer question 2. If a guy was really awesome in every other respect I could probably overlook a goatee, but I’d still prefer him without it. ---

I don’t care for beards on men ever.Tthey can give an evil thigh burn when one is getting a skull job! 'Staches-hmm, if it’s well kept and neatly trimmed, I could learn to live with it. I really dig a well-muscled man with a hairy chest and hairy forearms. Oh my, I think I need to lie down with a cold compress now. ---

YES on beards. I haven’t had beard burn anywhere since 1981 thanks to my husband’s wonderful soft full (but neatly trimmed) beard. If I’d known about this earlier I’d have made my previous husbands quit shaving! There’s nothing worse than scratchy stubble abrading the tender parts. Seems to me that would be the problem with a goatee - there’s still the stubble from the shaven areas. I’ve never seen my husband’s face hairless except in photos taken when he was quite young. ---

I’ll jump in here and vote for facial hair. Goatees don’t thrill me, though. I love a nice mustache, and I have seen guys with a weak chin suddenly get much better looking when they grow a beard. As for the abrasive issue … let me just say, that most guys that have beards know that they have them and are careful. The ones that aren’t don’t deserve to get any. ---

I’ll vote FOR facial hair. As for what style…depends on the guy. Some look good with just a goatee and some look really stupid. And as for how it feels…mmmmmmmmmmmMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm. Very VERY nice. (Good enough answer?) ---

One woman I shaved for actually liked the 'tee, but the sensitive parts were too sensitive. Ironically, the most controlling woman I dated didn’t like the (full, at the time) beard, but put it way down on her list of things to change about me. Whilst I’m here, I might as well explain my reasons for having a goatee. 1. I have a baby face. I originally grew the beard to get into bars. I’ve changed to a goatee 'cause sides of my beard aren’t particularly full, so it took a lot of beard maintenance to make it look good, and I couldn’t be bothered anymore. Now, with my rapidly thinning hair, I think a baby face is particularly odd. 2. I hate shaving. I don’t get razor rash or cut myself too much, but I just hate the process. 3. Now, I’m a corporate lawyer in a big office filled with a hell of a lot of people just like me. I keep the goatee to express some personality. Keep the votes comin!! Sua ---

Rarely even look twice at a man without a mustache… love a beard… hate a goatee because, yes, indeedie, it does look a bit much like a pussy and even if I were interested in delving into that, I’d want to be damned sure it didn’t have teeth… but a man with no face hair at all, nuh-uh… ---

I **LOVE** facial hair. Bluesman is currently on leave for a 45 day stretch, and I am not letting him shave his beard until he goes back to work. And in general, I just love all kinds of hair on a guy, facial, chest, back, butt, whatever. The hairier the better. ---

I’ve always liked facial hair. My s.o. had a mustache when I met him, which was one of the things that attracted me. He can’t wear a beard normally because he’s a cop and they won’t allow it, but he was off work for a few months because of surgery and let his beard grow – I loved it. He had to shave it off when he went back to work. The mustache doesn’t “tickle” – I can feel it, but I think it’s sexy. I say, if YOU like the facial hair, then that’s you and the women can take it or leave it. When you meet the right woman, she’ll like it too. ---

Okay, I can see I’m in the minority here, at least so far: Clean-shaven = sexy, aesthetically-pleasing, modern, nothing to criticize, much to love! Goatee = modern, can be sexy on the right guy, can definitely improve the appearance of certain guys, psychologically inhibiting when it comes to my “sensitive parts.” (I’ve always detested the term “flavor saver!” Ewwwww!) Mustache = I associate this style of facial hair with a personality that I don’t care for, so I’m not totally objective here, but even when it’s cute, it still seems outre to me, like so 1970’s, you dig me? I guess this is okay on certain mature men, provided they have the charisma, (Sean Connery, for example). Beard = Ick. Grizzly! (As in Adams). In my experience, this indicates either attitudes, if not the age-range, of a fossil, or a total healy-feely, granola-type. Neither is attractive. If I had to say one thing unequivocally, it would be **NO STUBBLE**!!! I’ve had whisker burn too many times! A considerate guy will make sure that his female companions are not subjected to that kind of abrasion. Besides, watching a man shave can be very erotic. ---

i am definitely a facial hair person, i find it so attractive on certain men. but then, there is the occasional person on whom it just looks absolutely terrible. my bf nornally has a beard, though, kept really short, but not stubbly, and i LOVE it! he had to shave it for a job interview though ☹ and although i admit that there are some places on my body where the beard might not be pleasant, i find that i do enjoy the feel of it against my neck or chest… 🙂 \< drifts off into thought… mmmm \> so yeah, i’m pro-facial hair… ---

I really like beards. I mean, I _really_ like beards. I was terribly disappointed when my last bf shaved his off for summer, though I didn’t give him a hard time over it. The only kind of facial hair I don’t like is that oh-so-hip little growth just below the lower lip that some Gen X guys favor. Euw. Pretty much anything else makes me so happy I squirm. ---

I loathe all facial hair. As far as pain, yes, I can remember a cad the hell out of my face with a five o clock shadow. Happened once, and he was gone.
