I’m straight, I have no interest in being with a man, I presume the straight women in porn have similar reactions to a stronger or lesser degree and wouldn’t be doing these things with other women if they weren’t getting paid, so I can’t get past the sheer artificiality of straight women performing such acts just for a buck. That’s a pretty stupid thing to be worried about. You’re attracted to what you are attracted to and you’re disgusted by what you’re disgusted by. I don’t think these are decisions you make. Some men are into anal sex with women, some find that just as disgusting as anal sex with a man. Some men are into sex with animals, lots of people find that disgusting. Some people find cheese revolting. As long as the fact that you don’t find something appealing doesn’t translate into you treating the _person_ cruelly, or unfairly, or in a discriminatory manner it’s not a problem at all. Most gay men I know don’t watch heterosexual porn and express some mild disgust when they see it. ---

By my reckoning, that’s 57 total unique responders in the poll. Of the 35 men, 17 found the idea of gay sex disgusting/revolting, 14 found it merely uninteresting and 4 were in the middle or difficult to cathegorize. Of the 22 women, 6 found the idea of gay sex disgusting/revolting, 15 found it merely uninteresting and 1 was in the middle or difficult to cathegorize. My hypothesis doesn’t appear to be too far off, but I did expect, based on personal experiences, more straight men to find gay sex disgusting. This is probably due to the board’s composition. ---

Straight female. I did a little experimentation just as menarche was coming around, and it was very nonthreatening. I certainly don’t find the idea of sex with another woman disgusting, and would probably entertain the idea of trying it, if a suitable opportunity presented itself. **Stonebow** and I have discussed the definition of “suitable” opportunity, and I don’t really know that such conditions will ever be met. Like **Anaamika** , there are all kinds of things I want to try before I’m slid under the broiler. ---

Male, straight. I find the idea of rectal intercourse disgusting, be it with man, woman, or beast. YMMV. The idea of digital / oral stimulation is not disgusting but I can’t picture myself with another man. ---

Straight male here. The thought of having sex with another man is thoroughly unappealing, and is not something I could bring myself to do unless horrible bodily harm was to come to me or my family. Passionately kissing another man gives me more heebie jeebies than sex. I don’t think I could do it. It would just feel so, well, ugh. I don’t particularly like watching gay couples together, but it certainly doesn’t bother me. I also have no problems hearing about my gay friends with their SO. (As long as they don’t go into graphic detail…I really don’t need to hear that about anyone). I have no problem whatsoever with two guys (or girls) having sex or making out or whatever, but it’s not something I ever want to try. ---
