I would say geek but both girls I’ve met that were into computers and the like have been nutcases. My first girlfriend wound up being of the vapid variety (she was a self described dumb blonde) but at least she’d leave the house! 🙂 ---

Definitely the “Geek Chick”. Sums up my ex pretty well, and I fell for her hard! She’s very book smart, reads a lot, and very content to just stay home then go out, and physically, wasn’t at all my type. But DAMN, she’s one of the most beautiful women I know. Pretty girls with no brains get about a glance, but once that intelligence proves to be lacking, the interest waines. But a cute “geek” girl, with a brain and conversation abilities, and I’m there. Even if I am a dumbass myself 🙂 ---

Geeks, definitely. I thought I’d be alone on that one… I don’t know anyone who likes geeks. Or likes geeks for being geeks, rather than having to get past the geekiness to like them. Beautiful people make me nauseous, and airheads are, in my opinion, obsessed with being beautiful. Which is worse than being insanely beautiful anyway. ---

I think the question is somewhat loaded, garnering a result that is almost predetermined. The problem is that you are taking opposite extremes of intellect, but not opposite extremes of appearance, as evidenced by the “average-looking” qualifier. The question, to be somewhat more interesting in my opinion, and have somewhat more varied responses, would be like this: If you had your choice between an _ugly_ geek chick or a beautiful airhead who would you choose to spend the rest of your life with and why? Let alone the fact that your sample of people here (myself included) is more apt to consider knowledge and computer skills a positive asset. Ask this same question on [ESPN.com](http://ESPN.com) (to pick one of many) and you might get vastly different responses. ---

Well, how are you defining “geek”? Is it someone who is strictly into sterotypical geek stuff (math for fun, gaming, computers/other techie stuff), or can it be expanded to anyone who has interests that the Average Schmo on the Street would consider weird and overly cerebral? Like, say, the historical development of Stalin’s science policy? Well, I don’t know that it would change my answer, anyway, which is Geek all the way! No matter how hot a guy is physically, if I can’t have a halfway intelligent conversation with him, I’m not going to want him to touch me, let alone anything raunchier.
