Yes, I’ve heard of it. I currently live there! White Sands is worth the tour to, but not much else. Except Si Senor’s. They have muy excellente Mexican. Now the real question is, “Red or green?” ---

I live in New Mexico, so yes, I’ve heard of it- been there several times. The Trinity connection was not my first guess, however. I thought of White Sands & Holloman AFB. As **Dag Otto** said, Socorro is much closer to the Trinity site, and so are several other small towns. Alamogordo is over 60 miles southeast of the site. There are a couple of rock shops on 380 that sell trinitite. ---

I’m familiar with both the Trinity test site and the White Sands range, but have never heard of Alamogordo. ---

I did a project on atomic energy when I was 12 so knew about it from that. I doubt it’s common knowledge around these parts. ---

I know because my next-door-neighbor just moved here from there. If you’d asked me a year ago, I would not have known. I would have known Trinity and White Sands, but not Alamogordo (which my neighbor refers to by a less-than-affectionate sobriquet). ---

Lived in Albuquerque for 4 years while my father was stationed at Kirtland AFB. Is that cheating? BTW - Man, I miss the Travis’ at K&I Diner. And the correct answer is always “green.” ---
