Bring your own bottle of wine, it’s a $15 corkage fee.

I had my dog “altered” in New Orleans and it was free. And no it wasn’t done by some guy in the bathroom at Butlers, it was at a humane society establishment. I thought a lot of places will do it for free now a days?

Interresting you should ask this. My dad is a retired veterinarian, and for a little while I worked with him in his office, helping with such things.

About a month ago, some friends needed to get their cats ‘fixed’. Two of 'em. Their normal vet quoted them 800 bucks for the pair. I mentioned it to my dad, and even though he’s been out of the business for a while, he said, “That just doesn’t sound right.”
They shopped around, and found a closer place that quoted 200 for the pair, which they agreed to. Cats are fine. Guess it’s just a flexible market or some-such.

We got our present cat 8 years ago from the Madison County Humane Soc. for $45. \*\*Dr. Richard Chaille, DVM \*\* does all their vet work, including initial shots, spay, and neutering, for free. I mentioned his name to salute him for that. 🙂 When the pet is adopted too young to have had all those services, you take your adoption paper in to his clinic, and it’s still free.
