This isn’t about what your favorite euphemism for #2 is, I want to know what you usually say and where you’re from. What’s the word you’re most likely to use for: A. Feces B. Defecation C. A bolus (formed log of feces) me: a. doo-doo b. doo-dooing c. a piece of doo-doo grew up in DC suburbs. BTW, I’m expecting most people to use the S-word, but we’ll see (that is, if anyone participates 😃 ). ---

A. crap B. taking a dump C. turd Although I also will say “shit” and “taking a crap.” (When I was a kid, we called it “dookey,” as in “look at that dog dookey on the sidewalk”) As a biologist, I refer to animal feces as “scat.” Grew up various places, mostly in the South. If your survey requires specifics, just ask me for more detail. ---

[ul] [li]It depends. If it’s dog crap, it’s “puppy dog logs”. If it’s pretty much everything else, just “crap” or “shit”[/li][li]My favorite euphemism…wow. That’s like asking me which kid is my favorite (of course I don’t HAVE any, which makes it much easier). I’m going with “Taking the Browns to the Super Bowl (It was acome from behind victory)”, “Stocking the pond/Releasing brown trout”, “snapping a deuce”, “laying cable”, or “unloading cargo”[/li][li]As far as a formed log goes, I’d say “log”. Unless it’s impressive, then it could be a “python”, “butt serpent”, or “pile”. If it’s dimunitive, then we’ll go with just “butt nugget”.[/li][/ul] Not that I think of these things…goodness, no. ---

In my standard workday, I may use up to 4 or 5 different terms, as I need to discuss the phenomenon with a number of different patients, many of whom have such widely varying linguistic and cognitive skills that it boggles my mind. Stool, feces, poop, shit, dookie, mierda, crap, BMs, and caca fuego. And that was just today at work. ---
