- Say you are play-wrestling and you win easily. You have no doubt that if it were a real fight that you could kick his butt handily. -You arm wrestle and you win every time. -You are moving heavy boxes or furniture and you can lift more than he can. He can’t keep up with you. -You are walking in the city at night and you realize that if anything happens, you can defend yourself better than he could. Would you date a guy like that who might have other qualities to bring to the table? ---

There are many more important qualities to people than how strong they are, especially since that’s something that can easily alter over time. ---

Yeah, I am freakishly strong, and my Daddy taught me how to defend myself. (West Point Grad, Airborne Ranger, good teacher.) If I limited the pool as you suggest, I’d have been pretty lonely, especially during the teen years. ---

I’ve been told on this very board that there is no such thing as a man that could be over-powered by a woman in a fight, so I’m not sure that the question is valid. ---

Of course. I mean, I don’t know who we’d get to lift things because I am so weaksauce, but it wouldn’t be a turnoff in the way that I suspect you’re fishing for. ---

Depends. In principle, if a man is weaker than me long-term it means he’s got serious physical problems; depending on what the issue was, it would be a deal-breaker or it would not. ---

It may seem shallow, but no. Some gender roles \*are \*old fashioned and make no sense, but for me this isn’t one of them. ---

One of my exes was into martial arts. I’m the world’s biggest couch potato, and a wimp to boot. She could kick my ass any day of the week. (She never did, though. We never even argued. I guess she had other outlets for her frustrations.) ---

No. The most I can lift and carry is 50#. If he can’t lift that, he’s got some issues.
