Certainly.
The political spectrum is a one-dimensional model.
Politics is a tremendously complex issue that can not be represented on such a model.
If you are capable of describing your political views as a position on a line segment, you have not thought hard enough about the problem.

So, where am I if I oppose the death penalty,oppose gun-control (except for background checks and no guns for felons), believe in keeping reigns on corporations(but not that the rich are evil), saving the environment(but not in Kyoto), not particulary fond of affirmitive action, don’t believe in profiling, believe pot should be legal and that druggies should be treated rather then imprisioned(unless they commit a “crime” other then using and having drugs)?
I don’t believe that “There is always an acceptable alternative to violence” but also don’t believe that we should go to war unless we have a good reason either. I don’t believe in suing the X industry just because they sell a product that isn’t defective because said product can be abused and I really don’t care if you feel offended by something.
I’ve been called a “Commie”(also “Fag”) by righties and “Racist” by lefties. I’ve also found that certain elements of both sides bug the crap out of me.

**HPL** , Centrist, Moderate, Libertarian, Green or any other label you think applies to you would work. From your description you seem more like a moderate conservative than anything else.
**friedo** , flawed as the spectrum may be, I think most of us could say whether we tend to agree with conservatism or liberalism.

At the site you linked my score was:
Economic Left/Right: -3.25
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -5.23
And, according to [this site](http://www.self-gov.org/quiz.html), my results were:
Personal Self-Government Score = 50%.
Economic Self-Government Score = 20%
So, combining the two results’ interpretations, I am a Left, Libertarian, Left-Liberal, Centrist, Authoritarian.
Dang . . Is there a political party for those?
