I have girly parts. I was told it was my “bird” but my cousins informed me that only boys have birds, what _I_ had was a “pigeon”. My daughter referred to hers as a “tink.” ---

I don’t remember if I had a word for it. Odd. Maybe because, being female, it was not a “prominent” feature. My brother and I referred to _his_ bits as a “klee-klee”. I have no idea where we got the word from. ---

Like **Morgyn** I don’t remember calling my lady bits anything when I was little. I’m guessing it was a non-issue since they’re not really out in the open or anything. The word for penis in my family, though, was bunny-whacker. _Slightly_ disturbing when I think about it now. Either bunny was a metaphor for lady bits or . . . meh. Bestiality. Did anyone listen to the Roe and Gary show where they were talking about how their mothers used the word monkey? The zoo has never been the same. ---

We (my sisters and I) used the Japanese term “chin-chin,” although it’s not strictly correct, as it’s supposed to refer to male bits only. As for English words…I don’t remember the topic ever coming up amongst my friends. Maybe we used the word “pee pee.” Or the coy, “the, uh, you know” or “down there.” ---

Come on **Lobs** …is this something you really want to know? What do little boys and girls call their genitals. Sounds kinda :eek: to me. heh, I don’t know that it was that big of a thing back then :rolleyes: but weenie sounds kinda familiar to me. ---

I just called it my “privates”. Any other word was embarrassing. What’s weird is my 35 year old boyfriend calls (not call_ed_ , calls) his penis his “pee-pee”, or “Willy”. Occasionally he will say penis. But mostly pee-pee or willy. It’s cute because he’s usually a tough loud-mouth kind of fella. ---

My first grader just had sex education lessons at school in Japan at the end of the first grade year. The teacher referred to the boy bits as “chin-chin” and the girl bits as “chon-chon”. My husband was horrified and choked when he heard, because “chon-chon” is the word used for dipping. (My boys like to “chon-chon” bread into their egg yolks!) Eeek! Did the man never think of the imagery?? ---

I remember my grandmother calling girl-parts a “pollyanna”. As in “Make sure you wash your Pollyanna!” Weird. I was never able to say that, though, because I had read the book about that optimistic girl named Pollyanna and it was just too weird to use her name. I think I used “down there”, but I don’t really remember. And I am NOT going to ask my mom. ---

(girl) I had a front butt. This was for anything that wasn’t specifically the vagina (anything external). I had a bad allergic reaction to pretty much anything with a fragrance (no bubble baths for me as a kid) and had to explain to my mom where it itched. My brother called his a penis, plain and simple. My grandmother insisted on “tallywhacker” and “twat”. She was an unpleasant person. ---
