Girl’s cars. Small. Rounded. Cute. Shiny. Little engines. Liable to be given names. The kind of car no red-blooded meat eatin’ beer swillin’ baccy spittin’ hairy chested he-man would be found dead in a ditch in. But which is the girliest car of them all? For your consideration I present the [Suzuki X90](http://www.theautochannel.com/media/photos/suzuki/1997/97_suzuki_x90_2.jpg) , a faux-jeep/sportscar hybrid that Barbie herself would scorn as being too effeminate. The cornea-scorching sight today of one painted _pink_ started the train of thought which led to this thread. All it lacked was Ken and a plastic surfboard on the roof. ---

I think it’s difficult to top the **New Beetle** in this contest. Though the old school **VW Cabriolet** certainly tries. ---

I respectfully disagree with the Miata {or MX5, as it’s known in this part of the world}: if it’s girly, then so are the Lotus Elan {the original 60’s one}, MGB, Sunbeam Alpine, Triumph Spitfire, and all the classic two-seater small engined tight handling British 60’s sportscars that inspired it - minus, of course, the inexplicable electrical failures, oil leaks, and bits dropping off that doomed the British car industry. ---

Historically, it would be hard to beat the [Dodge La Femme](http://www.allpar.com/model/lafemme.html) as the ultimate “girl” car. It was/is on display at The Imperial Palace Casino car museum in Las Vegas. ---

I was going to nominate the Triumph Spitfire. I have never seen one that wasn’t being driven by a woman. Usually a hot blonde woman. ---

I used to have a 1967 MkII Spitfire, before I sold it to help pay for university - sniff. I _loved_ that car - and I am not a woman. However, two out of three ain’t bad. ---

My wife has a 2001 Pink Grand Prix. It is so embarrassing to drive when my pickup is in the shop or something. I have one rule about the car. I will not go out to it to retrieve her purse if she forgets it. I have this terrible fear of being seen leaving a pink Grand Prix carrying a purse. When we bought it, the salesman told me the color was listed as mother of pearl. I don’t care what it was listed as - it is pink.
