1. Pepsi. I can’t gulg Diet Coke the way I can Diet Pepsi. 2. Hillary _barf_, because hopefully she’s past the idealist-change-everything stage, and because for whatever unfathomable reason, she’s not considered much of a liberal by liberals. 3. Not enough info to make a judgment–been in NYC only once. 4. Haven’t been to either Rome or Paris, not gonna judge. 5. Marx or Freud–wow–not sure–both arguably don’t work in reality, but both turned upside-down their respective fields. I’ll abstain as well here. 6. As much as I hate to say it, I’ll have to go with Mac here. Every Mac-hater, myself included, secretly wishes he/she could afford the biggest and best one, and a 32" Cinema to go with it. 7. I don’t know of a Christian nation that makes me wear a turban–for now. 8. Hank Hill. 9. Hot pink and lemon yellow are good highlighter colors. 10. Heinz only, please, because it’s what I’m accustomed to. 11. Charlotte, because it’s where my family lives. 12. I hate parties, but birthday party at least can be not an excuse to gouge your friends and families. 13. Cat, because they’re easier to take care of. 14. Packages. Pecs = boobs. ugh. Bonus: You’re to be given something and you don’t know what it will be until after you’ve made your decision — 1 or 1,000,000 I figure said given something has a relationship to that decision, possibly as a quantity or as a measurement. The obvious hope, 1,000,000 dollars, is not going to be bloody likely, so I figure there’s less chance of paying taxes or actually having space for said item if I choose “1”. So, “1” it is. ---

1. Coke - I prefer the taste of Coke plus it has more caffeine, which is the main reason I drink soda. 2. Hillary - The “experience” issue 3. New York City - I’ve been there but never to LA. 4. Rome - Never been to either city but I figure Rome has more history 5. Sigmund Freud - A tough choice. I have little respect for either man’s theories. But Marx’s have been used to justify worse things. 6. Kitty Carlisle - She got bonus points for still being alive. 7. PC - I’ve always used PCs so I know them better. 8. Christianity - I figure it’s not quite as abused as Islam is by its followers. 9. Homer Simpson - I find him funnier overall 10. Electric Blue and Black - Personal preference I guess 11. Billy Joel - I’m not a huge fan of either singer. 12. Jimmy Hendrix - Personal preference again 13. Heinz - More varieties 14. I’m just counting them as unanswered, but I wanted to let people know that. Same same if they say something like “Hinduism” for “Islam or Christianity”. That’s counted as no answer. There’s a reason things are paired the way they are, and that’ll become more clear in the second poll. Edited to add… Also, a heads up about this kind of reasoning: “if I take a million, I can just dump what I don’t want”. It could be a million lashes with a lead-weighted bullwhip. You might not be able to discard anything. ---

1. Coke - because crystal pepsi was just so wrong 2. Barack - more diversity 3. Los Angeles - never been to either, but LA seems to me to have a nicer weather, more girls in bikinis etc. 4. Rome - because I know more Italian than French 5. Karl Marx - at least he did not blame his mother for everything 6. Arlene Francis - I have no idea who they are, but who wants to date a girl with the same name as a brand of cat-food? 7. PC - since it is more available for me 8. 1. Coke. Partially because my great aunt used to work for them, and I felt a sense of loyalty. I just grew used to the taste since then. And yes, I took the Pepsi Challenge. I picked Coke. 2. Barack. Thanks for participating. 1. Coke or Pepsi - when I was a kid, I preferred Pepsi. Now I find I favor the more acidic flavored Coke. 2. Hillary or Barack - Probably Hillary, because (I think) Obama is younger and will have a later chance. 3. New York City or Los Angeles - NYC has more interesting things within a smaller area. 4. Rome or Paris - Never been to Rome, but I liked Paris. I’ve heard bad things about Rome (expensive, dirty, high crime). 5. Karl Marx or Sigumnd Freud - Marx, since afaik Freud has been completely discredite, whilst some of Marx’s concepts are still conceivable. 6. Arlene Francis or Kitty Carlisle - pass 7.
