1. Coke or Pepsi - As with **Robardin** , I prefer regular Coke to regular Pepsi, but Diet Pepsi to Diet Coke. Given that it is all diet these days, **Pepsi**. 2. Hillary or Barack - **Barack** by a small margin, which may change. 3. New York City or Los Angeles - Difficult. Los Angeles wins the in the weather and state it’s located in categories. NYC is badly flawed, but a much more interesting place IMHO. **New York** , I suppose. LA does tend to grate on me more. 4. Rome or Paris - I’ve been to neither. I speak a tiny bit of French vs. no Italian, but not enough to be anywhere fluent, so probably **Rome** for the greater ruin and glories past ratio. 5. Karl Marx or Sigumnd Freud - **Marx**. Both engendered revolutions in the way we look at the world, but Marx’s, while badly flawed by the prism in which he was forced to view things, was nonetheless a bit more cogent than Freud’s. 6. Arlene Francis or Kitty Carlisle - No opinion. 7. PC or Mac - **PC**. My first computer exposure was via Macs and I like them fine. But PC’s win just based on the petty fact that they have a wider stable of games, still. 8. Islam or Christianity - If pushed to it, **Christianity**. Less legalistic than Islam and I’m quite fond of booze and pork. 9. Homer Simpson or Hank Hill - **Homer** , who once upon a time was a more humorous and sympathetic figure. 10. Electric Blue and Black or Hot Pink and Lemon Yellow - **Blue and Black**. Darker, less flashy colors will almost always triumph for me. 11. Elton John or Billy Joel - Oddly enough, probably **Joel** at this point. I’m not a big fan of either, I own none of their albums and I think Elton John is the more significant artist. But Joel is a bit less saturated for me and I’d be just a little less likely to change the station if one of his songs came on vs. John’s. 12. Eric Clapton or Jimmy Hendrix - **Clapton**. Hendrix’s highs were a little higher and his lows much higher than Clapton’s. But he died young and Clapton’s greater volume of work and the more varied nature of it makes his the more durable catalogue. 13. Heinz or Hunts - **Heinz**. Gotta go with P.J. O’Rourke on this one, who ruefully noted during the last election that Heinz really does have the superior condiment. 14. Silver Cloud or Bentley - No opinion. 15. Queen Elizabeth or King Gustaf - I like the name **Gustaf** better ;). But all in all I find him slightly more interesting, even beyond that. 16. Charlotte or Atlanta - No opinion. 17. Birthday Party or Baby Shower - **Birthday party**. I have no interest in babies. 18. Cat or Dog - **Cat** by a razor margin, mostly based on the greater ease of care. I like both and in my younger days much preferred dogs. But I’ve warmed up much more to cats over the years and I’ve also gotten lazier. I am less willing than I used to be to spend the time to properly care for a dog. I solve the dilemma by personally owning cats and having good friends as neighbors, who have dogs I can enjoy vicariously. 19. Butts or Breasts (for straight men and lesbians) - **Butts** , I suppose. I like just about all breasts, but am more likely to sit up and notice an unusually well-turned butt. 20. **Liberal** I’d be glad to take your quiz. However, you said one of the rules was stating why you had chosen one or the other. I don’t want to fill in the reasons for my choices if it’s just a waste of time.
