You are driving on a road with two lanes in each direction. You are in the right lane with no vehicles in front of you. There are 2 or 3 vehicles in the left lane in your vicinity. You are approaching a red traffic light, say it’s about 50 yards ahead. One of the cars in the left lane is about 20 yards ahead of you. He has a vehicle in front of him who will be forced to stop at the red light. This second vehicle changes lanes and is now in front of you and first in line (in the right lane) at the red light. Hypothetical: The 22nd Constitutional amendment (that limits presidents to two terms in office) does not exist. Four years after Biden narrowly defeated Trump in 2024 to win reelection, it is now the year 2028. Both Biden and Trump are showing severe signs of their aging and cognitive/physical decline, but insist on running for president for as long as they live. Biden insists that, regardless of age, being incumbent carries political advantages in reelection and an incumbent president rarely loses and that it’s too risky to go with anyone else since Biden has been proven to beat Trump twice, and Trump insists on running every time for - well, the reasons that a narcissist insists. You are the DNC or RNC.
