Your friend needs your help. They tell you two ways that you could help them, which we’ll call “Option A” and “Option B”. Option A is what your friend would prefer and would be helping them out a lot. Option B would also be helpful to them, but not as much as Option A. Option A is less convenient for you than Option B, but it isn’t difficult. Option B would be easy for you to do. Do you choose Option A (more helpful for your friend but less convenient for you) or Option B (less helpful for them but more convenient for you)? _Poll ([view on site](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/polls-only-no-discussion/953642/1828))_ ---

Your friend needs your help. You want to help them. There are two ways that you could help them, which we’ll call Option A and Option B. Your Friend feels Option A would be the most helpful and would like you to do that. You feel your friend is mistaken and that Option B would be substantially more helpful than Option A. Your friend is not opposed to Option B but disagrees with your opinion that it it the better option. Both options are equal in difficulty for you and your friend will accept either one. You cannot do both. _Poll ([view on site](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/polls-only-no-discussion/953642/1829))_ ---
