I think that at least a partial update might be appropriate at this point since people are still working on a car, and I reckon that Poly himself will be in soon to give more details. Poly and Skull now have a car as of late yesterday. They owe some more money on it, and the amount that other Dopers are contributing here will help in that regard. Edlyn and I, when we visited them, tried to ascertain the scope of their needs. They said that once they have a car, have it paid off, and have some funds upon which they can rely until they find work, they will be in excellent shape. ---

Count me as another one who opened **Polycarp** ’s thread on Christmas day and found a miracle. 🙂 This Pagan would like to send a little money **Polycarp** ’s way. This board has taught me more about Christianity than anywhere else I’ve ever been… and not incidentally demolished a few predjudices along the way… and **Poly** has been a vital part of that. PayPal total as of now…$2240.00! WOO HOO!!! And, I have a challenge from an anonymous Doper. For every $500.00 collected by midnight of December 31st, this Doper will donate another $25.00…beyond the VERY generous donation this person has already made. The total of $500.00 includes donations made to EITHER of the ongoing efforts. Thank you, anonymous Doper! You are a WONDERFUL person.
