We often go to a restaurant named Tortas Mexico on Sundays. I screwed my courage to the sticking place and ordered their $10.00 shrimp cocktail. A dozen shrimp in _sweet_ tomato juice with diced onions, jalapenos and cilantro. It was great! ---

I took a 2 hour nap, made a late lunch/early dinner, then drove to the barn. Ariel was in her nighttime pasture already so I hugged her and gave her kisses. And treats. ---

It’s rained on and off most of the day today. I did a bit of shopping after the meet up, came home and did Sunday chored. I also got the kitchen cabinets rearranged. I’ve been slowly replacing plastic storage containers with lidded Pyrex type ones, but they take up more room than the others. I put some dishes into the Goodwill box, moved the ones that I only use occasionally to the cabinet over the fridgeand got the new stuff up out of the under-the-sink cabinet into somewhere that I can reach them. Supper’s done (sweet potato, black bean enchiladas in salsa verde and cilantro lime slaw with a dos Equis to wash it down) and once KP’s finished (it’s almost done right now), it’s studio time. ---

It was a slothfull day for me. All I did was clean the bathroom, clean the litter box ,take out the trash, and walk Gordie half a dozen time. Plus shred a bunch of old paperwork. Unless you have them delivered to my address. And then, for free 55lb anvils, I could live with it. I will just make a note not to work on the Leper Colony (line C where the pallet for my house is) this week. In case you didn’t guess I went in for extra irk today. No clear big seller this year so far and not nearly as many Instant Pots or Fire-Rings as I would have expected. I figure the gates of Hell will open for real starting Wednesday as we have a 12-24 hour delay built in before it gets to us. ---

When I was a young teenager we had a church youth group park outing, where we wound up playing soccer with a bunch of adult chaperones. One ball got kicked so hard it bounced into the parking lot. One of the chaperones (dressed in a suit with dress shoes no less) went running after the ball and proceeded to slip on one of the biggest piles of dogshit I’ve ever seen. He flew like he slipped on a banana peel. I probably deserve pitting for this but, my god, how we laughed. Years later, he committed suicide.
