Which categories would be your strongest in a trivia contest? Which categories in “Jeopardy!” could you do a clean sweep on and show off your expertise on the subject? For me, I’d do well with **Flintstone’s** and **Looney Tunes** trivia and perhaps questions pertaining to **1980s heavy metal music.** ---

I’d probably do pretty well in most pop culture Jeopardy categories, but my strongest would probably be: Doctor Who Movies New York Mets Early 70s rock music ---

This reminds me of a funny story. I am a typical geek…Like I know useless trivia, but I’m not really into pop culture. I tried out for College Jeopady! and I missed the qualifying by ONE question. That question was “Who’s the lead singer of the Smashing Pumpkins?” My mom knew it…ever since then, that’s become a family joke. When the Smashing Pumpkins broke up everyone in the family was teasing me that I didn’t have to remember that any more. ---

I’ve been playing since 1984, and I eckon I’ve read something like 90% of everything published by TSR/WotC (although I’ve been falling behind in recent years0. The work of writers George R.R. Animation since the 80’s, but strongest in Futurama, Simpsons, and 80’s action cartoons that were just excuses to sell more toys (ie, Transformers, GI Joe, etc…) Video Games Star Wars (to a small extent) Marvel Comics (about the same as Star Wars, though certain series (like X-Men) I know more about than others (like Ghost Rider.)) ---

Definitely _Buffy_, the wider Whedonverse, and WB programming in general. I’m not proud of that last one. (I’m not ashamed either, but perhaps a bit sheepish. I’ve never seen a single episode of 7th Heaven, for whatever that’s worth!) I seem to know an alarming amount of stuff about television shows and movies I’ve never actually seen. It’s like an osmosis thing. Pop music from the 50s onward. Hip hop and rap would be my weakest categories, but I’m still fairly knowledgeable. Disney movies/television shows, and all things Muppet. ---

_Jeopardy!_ categories wherein I usually break the bank: - The Ancient World - Shakespeare - Gilbert & Sullivan - 80s Pop - World War II - Opera One of my best categories in _Jeopardy!_ is actually Potpourri. When I was on the quiz bowl team in high school and in college, my speciality was answering the weird questions that came out of left field.
