I’m not aware of this problem having happened on the SDMB yet, but as I run my browser with “refuse pop-ups” enabled, I realised the other day that I might not be aware if a site I’m linking to has pop-ups, and then when posting links on the SDMB I should check out the site with the pop-up killer disabled in order to avoid inadvertently exposing people to unacceptable pop-ups (in particular, those maddening exit pop-ups leading to porn sites).

Just wanted to let other people who use pop-up killers know that they could land us on trouble if we don’t pay close attention.
