# Pop-ups

While I was browsing the boards, I had a pair of pop-ups emerge from the foul depths of cyberspace. The only other page I was surfing at the moment was my school’s website, which I know for a fact does _not_ have pop-ups?

So, basically, I’m asking if the boards have started having pop-ups? It’s possible that I’d left an earlier pop-up unattended to, and that it was one of those freaky pop-ups that opens up another pop-up as soon as you close it.

I was just wondering, is all.

**Angel** , take a look at AdAware, found at [www.lavasoft.de](http://www.lavasoft.de) . Chances are you’ve got some sort of scumware on your machine.

I second the recommendation for AdAware. [Here’s](http://www.google.com/help/faq.html#popup) Google’s explanation for the same phenomenon - Google doesn’t spam you with popups either.

Ah…thanks. I figured it was something weird on my computer, 'cause my dad installed some freaky casino stuff, but I figured I’d ask before making him panic or what-not. Thanks :).
