I know this is the dumbest question in the world, but I was curious.

Did Popeye have a last name?

I’m not prepared to contradict you about Popeye, Brutus/Bluto, or Wimpy (although I think I’ll look Wimpy up), but Olive is, in fact the lovely heiress to the **Oyl** dynasty. Right after her brother **Castor**.

Indeed she is, the dynasty being started by her parents, Cole and Nana.

The comic strip _Mondo Popeye_ which ran in the newspapers several years ago, listed Olive’s female cousin from California—_Sutra Oyl_. :o
