OK, so I’m doing a series of duets with a friend of mine (female / male duets) and we are trying to do a collection of like 30 seconds each to sing. I was sure Dopers could add more to this list:
Sonny + Cher - I Got You Babe
Ike + Tina - (havent decided which one yet)
Joe Coker + Jennifer Warren - Time of my Life (Dirty Dancing song)
John Travolta + Olivia NJ - You’re the one that I want (Grease)
Conway + Lonetta - Lousiana Woman, Mississippi Man
Paul McCartney + Stevie Wonder - Ebony and Ivory
Huey Lewis + Gweneth P - Cruzin Together
Ozzie + Lita - close my eyes Forever
Peaches + herb - Reunited
Kid Rock + Cheryl Crow - Picture
Georgre jones + tammy wynette - (havent decided which one yet)
elton john + keekee dee - dont go breaking my heart
kenny rogers + dolly - islands in the stream
neil diamond + barbra streisand - you dont bring me flowers
tom petty +stevie nicks - stop dragging my heart around
marvin gaye + tammy - aint no mountain high enough and it takes two baby
Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Ah! Your reference to Joe Cocker + Jennifer Warnes fooled me. I thought you skipped the _Dirty Dancing_ song “I’ve Had the Time of My Life”.

Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes sang together on the theme to _Officer and a Gentleman_ – “Up Where We Belong”.

…

More duets:

James Taylor and Carly Simon - “Mockingbird”
Olivia Newton-John and Cliff Richard - “Suddenly”
Kenny Loggins and Stevie Nicks - “Whenever I Call You ‘Friend’”

Since you’re doing one male-male duet, perhaps you could do something by Hall and Oates?

When I read the OP title, one song/duet came to mind:

**Baby It’s Cold Outside by Ray Charles and Betty Carter**

The most amazing, sexiest give-and-take I have ever heard. Vinyl versions of this track melt when played.

Not the same type of music as the others listed, but pretty definitive when it comes to a duet…

Very old stuff but between the years 1950-54, **Les Paul and Mary Ford** had 16 top-ten hits. They had five top-ten hits within nine months: _Tennessee Waltz,_ _Mockin’ Bird Hill,_ _How High the Moon_ ( #1 for nine weeks), _The World Is Waiting for the Sunrise_ and _Whispering._ From August 1952 to March 1953 they had five more top-ten hits: _My Baby’s Coming Home,_ _Lady of Spain,_ _Bye Bye Blues,_ _I’m Sitting on Top of the World_ and _Vaya Con Dios_ (#1 for 11 weeks). All the while, Les was pioneering multi-track recording and reinventing the electric guitar. Quite a run!

**K.D. Lang** did an absolutely fantastic duet with **Roy Orbison** on _Crying_.

**Johnnie Cash** and **June Carter Cash** singing _Jackson_. They did a lot of duets, but this was their best one.

**Waylon Jennings** and **Willie Nelson** did a whole bunch of very successful duets.

No one has mentioned the most popular duet in history, **Simon and Garfunkel**?
