First, if you post spam ads for pornography with pictures of ladies’ vagina in the forums I moderate, fuck you. Second, if you post threads in my forums with titles like “Feed starving children in Africa,” and when you open those thread you see ads for pornography with pictures of ladies’ vaginas, fuck you twice. And third, if you post threads in my forums with titles like “Hot guy-on-guy action!” and when you open the thread you see ads for pornography with pictures of ladies’ vaginas…well, that last one stumps me. Do you really think that someone opening a guy-on-guy thread is gonna click a vag? ---

I don’t much care for those spammers. As far as the image thing goes, that’s one reason I’m glad we have those disabled here. ---

Something that just posts random thread titles from a list designed to attract clicks that have nothing to do with the content. ---

Are you using vBulletin? If so, let me know and I can walk you through how to set up a usergroup for new posters which has IMG tags and PM access disabled to defeat spam bots. You can set things up to auto-promote members to full access after some set number of posts. I find that somewhere between 2 and 10 is sufficient: spammers get reported and banned before hitting that number, and regular posters rarely even notice the limitation. It’s an easy way to greatly reduce the number of vagina pictures you [del]get[/del] have to look at as a moderator. ---

I have the same problem. I go to porn sites and all I see is pictures of what is apparently Hormel Spam thrown out of the can and into the lap of an otherwise pretty young woman. Can’t they Photoshop that thing and clean it up a little? Or maybe just ship the whole thing to the starving children. Cause damn, some of them even still have that congealed gelatin shit on them. ---

I’m a moderator, not an administrator, so I can’t really answer questions from the technical side. And it’s not a matter of [del]getting[/del] having to SEE vaginas, it’s a matter of having to delete 30 of them a day. (Okay, that’s not true. Most days I delete 30 viagra ads, many of which are in Russian. The vagina thing only happened once or twice.) ---

Well, you should talk to your admins, because changing your settings can cut down on that spam a lot. In addition to the usergroup system I mentioned above, you can also install mods like StopForumSpam which automatically blacklists known spam IPs. My forum gets maybe a few spam posts a week, none of which have images. It’s nice. ---

I hate it when I go to a site expecting a nice collection of ladies’ vaginas and instead of pictures I get walls of text about whether a Star Destroyer could take out a Constitution class ship, whether shoes should be worn inside, whether the assault rifle ban was a good thing (or whether there is such a thing as an assault rifle), and on and on… ---

I still remember the first time I encountered goatse. And I think that image, all by itself, is a great reason to disable images posted by random people. I should NOT be able to tell if someone has had a tonsillectomy by looking at a pic of his butt. ---

I reported a spammer (of auto parts, not female parts) who hit 26 posts before I spotted it. Sure, the mods might have been asleep at the switch, but it happens, and many other boards are a lot slower to respond than our [ahem] esteemed mods. Sorry to put a wet blanket on the discussion, but I suspect the “vaginas” are really “vulvas.” “Vaginas” are mostly internal. Carry on as if I wasn’t here. ---

If you look in the back of a porno magazine like Hustler (strictly for research purposes) you’ll see numerous ads for gay phone sex lines. And I wonder - why do the people running gay phone sex lines think their target audience is reading Hustler? ---
