Yep, as far as I know we are still up for tomorrow. Me and Mrs. H are planning to show up at fivish, no doubt in time to see **Czarcasm** hit his stride in “One-Ball Reily” or some other entertaining filksong. **Bumbazine** the Sweet Wife’s name is Julie, she hails from Sherman County originally, and her Ph.D. is in Systems Science/Psychology from Portland State. That means her training is in research rather than clinical psych. Her dissertaion dealt with the effects of social support on women with breast cancer. Here are the directions from the _other_ direction(courtesy of Yahoo :)): 1. Merge onto I-5 south. 2. I-5 becomes I-5 south/US-30 east. 3. Take the I-84 east/US-30 east exit, exit number 301, towards The Dalles. 4. Merge onto I-84 east/US-30 east. 5. Take the 39th Avenue exit, exit #2. 6. Turn right onto NE 39th Avenue, pass through 1 roundabout. 7. Turn left onto SE Stark Street. 8. Turn right onto SE 45th Avenue. 9. Turn left onto SE Belmont Street. 10. Find your own damn parking space. 11. Buy the first Moderator you find a beer. ---

Got my bachelor’s and master’s degree there. I plan to be there around five. I shouldn’t be too hard to spot. Not many twenty-seven year olds out there wear behind-the-ear hearing aids. Just reached PSU after leaving the Mini-Dopefest where a good time (and truly wonderful scotch eggs) were had by all. Mrs H said her fish and chips were the best she’d ever had and they had not only Guiness on draft but Urquell Pilsner from Czechoslovakia. Highly recommend the Horse Brass pub. Company was as exceptional as expected. Talked with **Bumbazine** and his lovely wife, and sat next to actual moderator \*\*Czarcasm \*\* and survived. (He is, by the way, a true treasure trove of trivia, as you would suspect. He even suggested a few thread subjects that you may see in the near future.) Didn’t get a chance much to talk with **Shy Ghost** or **Gr8Kat** who came with her husband, but will look forward to doing so in the future. Thanks to all who came and invited us. ---

I nominate the scotch egg as the Official Munchie of the IMHO 🙂 I swear to ghod that beer that is over 13% alcohol should come with a warning label, and should _never_ be served in pint glasses. Somebody e-mail me some ibuprofen, quick! ---

Man, I am such a wet blanket–I really should have been there, if only to save you from scotch eggs! You didn’t make **Shy Ghost** eat one, did you? Who will protect the innocent? I really have to rise to the occasion more often. I always regret ducking out afterwards. You did miss me, didn’t you–I mean, you all really, really wanted to meet me didn’t you? And you all talked about the fact that I wasn’t there, and how disappointed you all were? I’m really going to try to keep my neurosis in check for the DopeFest in Seattle . Yes, I meant the neurosis that keeps me form showing up, I’m sure my **other** neuroses will be more than welcome. And **Bumbazine,** we could have it at my house, I love being the hostess at parties, by my clubhouse doesn’t allow alcohol, so we’d have to be witty sober. ---

The scotch egg was powerfully filling though…I wasn’t hungry anymore afterwards, otherwise I would have had another. Don’t know where you had your bad scotch egg experience before, **Kallessa** , but maybe you should give them a second chance at the Horse Brass Pub. They apparently must do them right. The company was great and the setting was excellent. I really liked that place. I second **Czarcasm** ’s nomination of the scotch egg as the official munchie. Next time, we’ll have to get a round table. Sword optional, of course. 🙂 ---

[Homer Simpson]Scotch eggs - Mmmmm[/Homer Simpson] A good time, and several pints of good beer, was indeed had by all. Pity no one thought to bring a camera. The gentle reader will just have to imagine a table full of tall handsome men with wavey hair and bulging pectorals, and beautiful women with flowing tresses and bulging…ummm…bulges. I feel bad that I didn’t talk more to **Gr8Kat** and **Joel** and to **Hometownboy** and the lovely **Julie**. We **will** do this again. And we _do_ need a round table next time. I’m sorry **Screeme** didn’t show, or maybe he did, took one look at us, and left. We honestly did miss you **Kallessa** and all the other ‘stray dorkers’ who couldn’t make it. Pssst…I was just joking about your place **Kallessa,** I don’t know for sure about the rest of these guys, but asking me to be witty and sober _at the same time?_ [Jack Benny]Well![/Jack Benny] Incidentally, I’m not going to make Seattle. I second or third or fourth the round table and the Scotch eggs 🙂 (I loved the egg; I wonder if I’m ready to take on Welsh rabbit?) I also regret not being able to visit more with everyone, but Mrs. Bumbazine was charming company 🙂 So, again, I second or third or fourth getting together again soon, but Joel requests that, besides the round table, we also have comfy seats or he may be forced to share TMI about the state of his bum again 😛 ---

Ok, one of my co-workers married a Briton here a while back, so Monday I asked her if her husband enjoyed Scotch eggs and/or if she’d eaten one herself. She hadn’t heard of them, but told me this morning that hubby does like them very much and can make them. However, he says back home they’re usually made with _liver_ sausage. Did I eat _ **liver** _?? :eek: ---

Yes, it’s silly and irrational; that’s just one of my charms 😛 But my co-worker told me that her husband is going to make a batch of Scotch eggs with regular pork sausage and he’ll save some for me.
